I just opened a box of this and took one bite and it tasted like gasoline. Is this going to make me sick??? My kids also took a few bites before I threw it out.

Look at the box and see if it has the codes that are involved in the recall. I don't know if it will make you sick - they say it shouldn't especially if you only took a few bites. I would take the boxes back to where you bought them so at least you can have a refund and a paper trail in case of anything.

I appreciate your reply, Tanya. I am due to have a baby in 3 weeks and this scared me as to what effect it could have on me or my unborn baby. The box was purchased in California, but that state is not listed in the recall. However, there is definitely something wrong with this box of cereal. It does match the UPC code listed. It tasted absolutely horrible. Maybe Quaker does not yet realize how far spread the contamination could be. So far, nobody seems to be sick from it in my family.
