Spicy Food Company Shuffle between McCormicks, Unilever and Morton Salt

McCormicks and Lawrys SeasoningsMcCormicks wants to buy Lawrys from Unilever, and today, July 30, 2008, The Federal Trade Commission granted approval for McCormick's US$604m deal with Unilever ... on one condition. That McCormick's sell Season-All.

Apparently, McCormicks decided that Lawry's is worth more to them than Season All because they agreed to sell Season-All to salt maker Morton Salt for $15 million in cash. McCormick said its annual Season-All sales were $18 million.

I hope McCormick's treats Lawry's right. It's one of the few brands that I'm absolutely loyal to. Nothing else can substitute!
