Nebraska Beef Recall Linked to Kroger E. coli Contamination

BeefNebraska Beef has issued a recall for approximately 531,707 pounds of ground beef components that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. This is the supplier for the beef involved in the Kroger Beef Recall which resulted in 22 confirmed cases of E. coli contamination.

The products involved in the Nebraska beef recall were sent for further processing or to distributors in Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania, and Nebraska. The items may bear the establishment number "EST. 19336" inside the USDA mark of inspection, BUT since many of the products were further processed into ground beef, they will likely not have these identifying marks.

More information on this recall can be found at the USDA website.
