Goobers: 5 Grams of Protein and Maggots
A blogger has a video of the box of Nestle Goobers that he and his wife bought that contained MAGGOTS! That video is now posted on YouTube (and Consumerist.com) with over 4000 views to date. What is incredible is that it is now 11 days after the fact and Nestle still hasn't responded! Way to go Nestle.

Okay, I've seen this a couple of places and let's be very clear. They're not maggots. Maggots do not eat chocolate or peanuts, they eat dead flesh.
These are some variety of cupboard moth worms. They emerged as a virulent pest in the eighties when interstate trucking was deregulated. Truckers no longer fumigate their trucks between hauling various products so the moths live inside the trucks and infest whatever starch-based cargo ends up in there.
While they're destructive, they're harmless.
The true loss is to the store that ends up buying that infested cargo, the larvae will get into all sorts of stuff. They do chew through cellophane overwraps, so things that you think are factory sealed, probably aren't.
