Dr Pepper Launches New $35 Million Dollar Ad Campaign to Let You Know the Best Way to Drink Dr. Pepper - Slowly
Dr Pepper launched a new ad campaign on July 28, 2008, featuring the most famous doctors of pop culture, like Dr. J and Dr. Frasier Crane among others. ![]() Dr Pepper is joining forces with pop culture's biggest [fake] doctors to educate America on an even better way to drink Dr Pepper: slowly. The "Trust Me I'm a Doctor" commercials promote the message that "because there are 23 flavors in Dr Pepper to experience, it tastes best when you drink it a little slower." [Source: PRNewsWire] The new ad campaign, developed by Deutsch LA, just began on network and cable television stations nationwide. It's totally unique and unexpected enough to work," said Eric Hirshberg, President/Chief Creative Officer of Deutsch LA. I beg to differ. You can see the "Drink it Slow commercial featuring Dr. J on Boardsmag.com. "Trust me I'm a doctor" said by a {fake} doctor does not inspire my confidence.

Christopher said: Just now saw the Dr. J commercial on YouTube - hilarious. I'm curious where you picked up the $35M price tag for this Dr Pepper ad campaign. It's not in your source PR link, and I can't find that anywhere else. Thanks.
